Krowcode ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our software, website, and services.

The short version: Krowcode's core analysis runs 100% locally on your machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your source code. We do not use telemetry or analytics in the software itself.

2. Software (VS Code Extension, CLI, LSP, MCP)

The Krowcode software — including the VS Code extension, CLI tool, Language Server, and MCP server — runs entirely on your local machine. Specifically:

• •No telemetry: We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or analytics from the software.
• •No network requests: Core analysis makes zero external network requests. Your code never leaves your machine.
• •No data collection: We do not collect, store, or process your source code, file names, project structure, or any other data from your development environment.

3. Optional AI Features

If you enable the optional AI-assisted analysis features (e.g., krowcode ai), code snippets may be sent to your configured AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local Ollama instance). This requires explicit opt-in and configuration. We recommend using Ollama for fully local AI processing.

4. Self-Hosted Dashboard

The self-hosted dashboard runs entirely on your infrastructure. All data — including analysis results, user accounts, and configuration — is stored in your own databases (PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Redis, MinIO). We have no access to your dashboard instance or its data.

5. Website

This website (https://krowcode.dev) is a static site. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If you contact us via email or the contact form, we will only use your information to respond to your inquiry.

6. Third-Party Services

Our GitHub repository is hosted on GitHub (Microsoft). Interactions with our GitHub repository are subject to GitHub's privacy policy. We do not control or have access to GitHub's analytics data.

7. Data Retention

Since we do not collect data from the software, there is nothing to retain or delete. If you contact us via email, we retain your correspondence only as long as necessary to address your inquiry.

8. Children's Privacy

Krowcode is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be announced via our GitHub repository.
